Extended funding opportunities within Uses of the Past, Fall 2019

The faculty research program Uses of the Past has extended and expanded the internal funding opportunities this semester. These include 1) supporting funds for planned events and 2) conference grants for selected prestigious conferences.

This call includes funding for activities planned by research program members in November-December 2019. The funds are intended as a subsidy, to cover costs relating to the following types of activities

  1. Workshops with local and external partners to prepare new initiatives within teaching or research (max. 15,000 DKK)
  2. Support for the preparation of applications for national or international grants (max 15,000 DKK)
  3. Other collective activities related to uses of the past (max. 10,000 DKK)

The funding is also an extension of support in the event of unforeseen costs related to any of the activities above.

Furthermore Uses of the Past extends its support to cover costs relating to the participation in the following conferences

  1. The Memory Studies Association's annual conference in Charlottesville, Virginia, June 2020 (https://www.memorystudiesassociation.org/charlottesville-conference-2020-call-for-papers/)
  2. The Association of Critical Heritage Studies' annual conference in London, August 2020 (https://www.criticalheritagestudies.org/achs-2020-futures )

The amount granted must be applied to costs before the end of 2019.

Applications must be max. 1 page + budget. Deadline for applications is December 15 2019.
