Grant for seminar on Memory and Migration in Postcolonial Europe

The board of Uses of the Past has decided to grant the support of a seminar on Memory and Migration in Postcolonial Europe. September 19th 2017.

The seminar will reflect on key issues related to memory, migration and neo-colonial uses of the past in Europe. The goals are to present ongoing projects and research results, share ideas and get input on project applications linked to the Uses of the Past research program.

Guest speakers:

  • Chiara de Cesari (University of Amsterdam) will present her ongoing project on memory and migration.
  • Manuel Loff (University of Porto) will present his research on Portuguese neocolonial uses of the past.
